While it includes professional activities such as B2B meetings between publishers and public presentations of editorial projects, its primary focus is political coordination and collective reflection. READ is conceived as a strategic convention, not a commercial trade fair. There will be no exhibition stands or book sales as in conventional fairs. Instead, the emphasis is on building alliances, sharing tools, and developing political-cultural strategies across borders.

What languages will be used during READ?
The main working language of READ will be English. Simultaneous interpretation will be available for all major panels and public sessions to Catalan as native language of Barcelona.
